I never know what to do about about “Sales” announcements. Sometime they are bogus, sometimes they are for real. But I will post what I think to be the real ones on the blog.
I haven’t reviewed FileMaker Pro7 but from looking at earlier versions, the product is, I am sure for real. (FileMaker, if memory serves, began life as an Apple Computer product, and his since migrated into Windows, and does a good job there.) If you already have FileMaker, you will probably wish to upgrade, and there’s the deal.
The promo material doesn’t say what the after March 25 upgrade price will be, but apparently it goes up to $179 from the current $149. If you are a registered user, you probably should have received an e-mail announcement. The initial purchase, not upgrade, price remains $299 for a single user.
There’s no rush to purchase if you aren’t upgrading, but the company does offer a 30 day free trial download. If you need an easy to use but powerful data program give it a try, even though it isn’t on special. More information on the vendor’s Web site.
