And they don’t even announce these things to point users to them. One day, a “delete” button appears along (along with the Archive and Report Spam buttons and the More Actions pulldown) and suddenly the most selected activity on Gmail is a single click rather than a pulldown and select action. (Well….maybe there is sometimes more Report Spam than Delete.)
This has been on my Gmail wishlist for some time. And they finally got around to it.
I am still running a lot, but not all, of my e-mail through Google mail. Who knows what they might do with it, but then I assume the NSA or someone is looking at all of my e-mail, anyhow. It isn’t as if they think they need a court approved search warrant to do it.
Is anyone out there avoiding Gmail, because of privacy considerations? I’d like to hear from you.

You can always request features at https://services.google.com/inquiry/gmail_suggest/
I had read in Business Week that these ideas collectively with ideas from Google engineers(a.k.a pet project) are put to discussion and or vote and later rolled out as products or services.
